<p>Just out of curiosity, does URM status affect admission decisions at USC at all? I heard that USC is "race blind" when it comes to admissions, but are they really? I'm just curious.</p>
<p>Sometimes you can tell this from checking out the previous accepted stats "class of" threads. My guess is that USC probably looks at the total picture. If a kid is a URM, zip code to no advantage, financial issues, first in family but yet has acheived in other areas showing promise, then stats would be less important. I have a lot of respect for those kids and they fully deserve the admit.</p>
