I want to major in history so I think taking both is good idea,or not?</p>

<p>If you want to major in history, you should take at least one of them if you think/know you can do really well.</p>
<p>Depends on which university you're applying to. Most universities that accept SATIIs will require that you take two subject tests in separate categories (History, English, Math, Foreign Language, etc). Since both US History and World History are both considered to be in the "History" category, the universities would probably only accept one of those scores. You would still have to take a subject test in another category.</p>
<p>Obviously, taking both US History and World History wouldn't be particularly wise if the universities are only going to accept one or the other when you apply.</p>
