Carolyn - Thanx a lot.
Could you please tell me the name of the website from where you got the info.

Wow, columbia and newyork U got so many. But they don't offer any finaid for int'l students, do they?

they do for grad students

I am applying to three of those colleges: Purdue, Texas, and Illinois.

Mellow, It wasn't from a web site, it was from the Chronicle of Higher Education, a newspaper that covers higher education in the US. Unfortunately, while they are on the web, you can only access their articles if you are a paying subscriber.

As to the issue of money, two thoughts. First, remember the numbers include both graduate and undergraduate students. Second, yes, some of these schools do not offer financial aid to internationals but keep in mind that the VAST majority of international students studying in the U.S. are NOT here on scholarship, they are paying full cost. Those seeking large amounts of financial aid have to be realistic about their chances unfortunately. :(

Columbia offers financial aid to Canadian students, if not overseas ones. I know, since I'm Canadian and applying there. ;)
