<p>So? It was agreed upon by both Texas and the United States. Mexico certainly didn't have the power to enforce its suppositions, so whether it acknowledged Texas's independence or not is irrelevant.</p>

<p>S'vrone, "Texas" was <em>officially</em> still a part of Mexico, and unofficially, run by immigrants from the US, who finally took control in the Battle of SJ.</p>
