US News Locked Rank Request

Hello, I know I should not make a college decision based on rankings, but I am curious about the rankings of two specific schools.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with the US News Compass subscription could let me know what the rankings of Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Vanderbilt are for undergraduate biomedical engineering degrees.

Here is a link to the rankings: https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/engineering-doctorate-biological-biomedical

I’m trying to make a decision between those two colleges and GA Tech, and am wondering how much lower they rank. Any advice or help is appreciated, and sorry if this type of post is not welcomed.

Vanderbilt is ranked #21, Rutgers-New Brunswick is not listed among 33 schools ranked.

Doctoral rankings are pretty much meaningless for undergrads. Don’t use the doctoral score to decide where you will do undergrad work.

By and large, undergraduate engineering programs are undergraduate engineering programs - especially for fields that need ABET accreditation. If you have a specific interest in the biomedical field, read the catalogues and graduation requirements carefully, and read the professors’ bios and lists of publications. Does one place offer a particular elective that you really want? Do some professors currently conduct research that you’d like to participate in?

Does cost come into play here? have you seen each campus.?

Enter the name of a school into the search box. It will call up the school page, which will tell you the ranking. You don’t need a subscription except to see the full list.

@happymomof1: The link the OP posted leads to rankings specific to undergraduate biomedical engineering programs.

@“Bill Marsh”: Certain USN information requires a subscription, such as that for Vanderbilt’s biomedical engineering program ranking: https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/vanderbilt-3535/overall-rankings.
