The other half isn't applying to RSI, thus diqualifying them from being CEE whores.

The other half isn't? How do you know?

Ahhhhh stop taking it so seriously!

It was just some well-intentioned humor following up on zogoto's comment! Just cheeeeeeel!

lol...

/mutters about wwp people

ugh. so anyone pumped for the local bio exams which are coming up in a month?

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 38-42 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am SOFA KING pumped.

I wasn't taking anything seriously.

& I am chilling.

I feel we're distancing, kchen. I don't want that to happen. Not for us. Not like this.

i've noticed something theoneo...

every thread you've commented on somehow goes off onto a tangent....cough :)

just playing.

to anyone that has taken the usabo before...does the textbook list at the cee usabo site cover everything that we should know?

the only thing you need to know for usabo is every nook and cranny of the encyclopedia that is campbell's biology.

that's it? so no need to memorize the cell molecular bible? haha

campbell's bio (7th edition) isn't that hard...it's actually a pretty readable book

Good. I want and need some distance. I want it to happen.

I agree that theoneo always goes off on a tangent. People can get carried away sometimes....

damn. you people start early. just checking in to see if it had started yet; sure enough it had.

in '03 I didn't do squat until a week before nationals -- a mistake most first-year usabo'ers make. Of course, we were all noobs in '03, so it didn't matter too much.

listen to peasea. she knows what she's talking about.

i wish i knew about USABO before this year...back then i actually HAD TIME to study.

junior year is a pain.

I know what you mean. In retrospect, what did I have to do last year? I just sat around and, well... just sat around.

I guess it was my year off, though. Freshman year was a huge change after eighth grade and I definitely pushed myself with clubs and taking an SAT II. Sophomore year I didn't do much academically. This year is so hardcore though. The next five months (actually, starting this break) are going to be HELLLLL.

(I love junior year)

a few have pmed me for the old exams. sorry, people, but i had to re-install my OS a while back, and all of my files were deleted.

besides, sharing them would be fraternizing with the enemy.

37-41 daysssssssss!!!!!!!

I would start taking the USABO not as lightly... the average score last year was under 34%... I encourage ALL OF YOU to pick up a Campbell's textbook and read chapters 34-49 THOROUGHLY. Those are emphasized on the test. brush up on basic biochemistry and cell structure (and how the two are related).

Just my $0.02...

hopefully this year people will do worse...so the qualifying score will be lower :D

the qualifying score last year was around 46-48% (23-24 questions right...?) so hop to it!

ha...i'm ahead of the game. i memorized campbell (7th ed.) already :)

i'm looking at the molecular cell bible right now.

are there any good ecology/behavior textbooks out there?
