<p>And it's been rising every year by at least 1 point. USABO is very new, so more and more high schools are joining each year (= more competition if they only take the top 10% or 500 scorers).</p>

<p>You can't tell just by the exam scores. The exams have been subtly changing each year, although the format and type of material has been basically the same in '04 and '05, and I see no reason for it to be different this year.</p>

<p>Because not all schools will be available on the same day. Like I'll be at an MUN conference Thursday to Sunday during the week of the test.</p>
<p>Plus, the competition is relatively new. They want more people to participate. Holding it exclusively on one day wouldn't help them do so.</p>

<p>By the way, I'm fairly crappy with bio. I tend to be more of a hardcore physics guy. It's just that I'm uber-competitive, even though I'm now a senior and have made college; I just need to prove to myself that I CAN make USABO semifinalist.</p>

<p>The open exam had more difficult questions but the semi exam was longer and thus there was less margin for error. i alllllmoooost made nationals :(</p>
