USA vs. Europe: pre-college education

Yeah we should lol.
Just so you know, I study at an American system, but I've studied in French lyc?es before (until 9th grade), and I can tell you, when I switched to the American system, especially in math (they put me in Algebra 2, already a year ahead of everyone else in my grade) it was so easy for me, I had already done all that stuff. And history for example: the history course in the french system in 9th grade is from 1914 to the present, and you spend a whole year on that, so you go into a LOT of detail. The AP Euro course here is so much more general (and I'm not even gonna get started on AP World), and if you compare into the AP World you get into more depth, but I'm telling you, it's NOTHING compared to the French system.
I guess that is the difference. European systems TEND (not saying there aren't exceptions) to be much more specific and are more academic, while American systems are much more general and focus more on EC's, leadership, and that kind of stuff.
