I am writing my what is your vision of a physician essay for Brown's PLME and I find myself using the phrase "he or she" in reference to "a doctor" so often that it sounds cumbersome. Is it incorrect/sexist to only use he, even if it makes my essay sound better?

I don't think using 'he' is sexist... The male form of words generally encompass both sexes. Think back to foreign languages -- even Latin. Then again, I could be completely off base.

If you are a "he", use "he"
If you are a "she", use "she"
