That sounds serious. You need to get on the phone with them first-thing Monday morning. I hope you didn’t wait this long to realize this, because all FA documents are due tomorrow.

This might have been answered before, but is there a way to appeal for more aid? i got basically nothing because my parents had a somewhat inflated income last year due to profits from selling out of a lot of stock

I think there is. Contact the financial aid office.

CoralReef- did you submit the Federal Stafford Loan application? i had the same problem for about a month in february where my FAFSA, CSS profile, and tax forms didn’t show up. i double checked the financial aid site and then i realized i didn’t fill out the Federal Stafford Loan application. as soon as i faxed it over, everything showed up in my file.

[USC Financial Aid - Loans - Federal Stafford Loan](http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/loans/stafford.html)

Are you being serious?

You’re not buying something online. The PIN is for identity confirmation purposes, not for endorsing purposes. That’s smart given that I don’t want mine and my entire family’s personal information to ever be compromised. That policy was likely passed by federal policy-makers, and not by some alleged dumb person.

The dumb person is the one who still can’t get their act together and fill out a mostly un-mentioned and mundane application 4 1/2 months after the deadline has passed. In other words, chill the hell out, you’re making USC transfers look bad. Jeez.

grey_syntactics-----> Are you being serious???

If it’s so intelligent, then how come major corporations such as Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, Fannie/Freddie, citigroup, ect DO NOT REQUIRE A pin when you fill out their online application (for accounts, mortage, cradit cards, and investment products) ???-----> All they need is username, password, secret question when you open an application/account.

I quote “that policy was likely passed by federal policy-makers” Are you JOKING. You think it’s just because it’s passed by the government, it’s good?
The government is a complete joke.

Coral chill out. Grey’s right. Your making this thread look bad. Grow up and take responsibility for your actions.

Just take a look at this board,

So many people try to RESTRICT other people’s freedom of speech/expression-------------------------------------> I’LL FIGHT WITH MY LIFE TO PROTECT THE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. Period.

But you are 100% correct, I should’ve applied much earlier…it’s my fault (But my parents are out of town for approximately 1.5 months and I couldn’t get my hands of their Tax Returns + W2s because my home is in Atlanta and I goes to school in Chicago. I just got back 2 weeks ago).

So when I got back home, I’ve being applying for financial aid like CRAZYYYYYYYYYYY.

In the end, it’s still 10000% my fault.

not to take any sides here, but i have to say(and this is something ive said a million times before, just not on here) that the fact that all you need to get into your bank account online in the US is a username/password, is seriously ridiculous…

im from sweden, and my bank has a thing where you put in your national identity number, thats your yymmdd and 4 digits that you are supposed to be secretive about :stuck_out_tongue:
thats your username.

for your password, youre provided with 2x 4 digits, and you have a little remote thing in which you first put in a pin code, and then enter the 2x 4 digits, and THEN you get a 6 digit number, and that is your password… this is different every time…

its really simple though it might not sound that way, but its sooo much safer… :)

That’s better  cleared out the posts :)

I love how every time a thread gets regulated, my ENTIRE posts get deleted, while others’ only get edited.

wow…just, wow…

ANYWAAYYY… Any news from fin. aid or housing yet?

hey everyone, did most of you already get your housing assignments? Seems like everyone’s getting placed in Founders. I haven’t gotten my assignment yet, and I’m a bit a desperate, so if anyone needs a roommate let me know. I’m a girl :]

^thank you.

And hippihippo, im homeless for the moment too! Im waiting on housing to get bak to me, but i did get offered a spot in founders from a student. If I decide not to take it I’ll let you know. :)

Thanks chaly :]
