<p>Hey everyone, I’m not a transfer, but I’m posting here cause I’m gonna bet that at least one of you still needs housing… Anyway, i’m in need of a roommate for this next school year. My original roommate had to back out because her parents decided she should just commute this year.

<p>But anyway, right now I have the master bedroom in one of the apt units in the new Stuho building (construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of this month). Its exactly a block from campus, visible from Kaprellian Hall. Basically the room was originally designed to be a triple, but we’re only gonna be using it as a double, so its HUGE. lol… The whole place has wood floors and the room comes with a private entrance, a walk-in closet, and our own bathroom.</p>
<p>The apt itself, is a split-level, town-house style apt with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. </p>
<p>Rent is $725 a month and that covers water, internet, and gas. Electricity is extra, but we’re estimating just an additional $10-$20 a month on that. Again, its braaaand new and is like, a good 2 minute walk to campus. It’s also a block away from Smart 'n Final (the grocery store, for you outta staters) and 2 blocks from the post office.</p>
<p>Other than that, you’d be living with a group of junior girls, most of whom are in design-related majors… ie architecture (like myself), animation, fine arts, etc. We’re all just really chill people :)</p>
<p>We need someone to sign up with us before August 1st (when the lease starts), so if you’re interested, find me on facebook, as I’m trying to get to know the potentials lol… Ive had some bad roommate experiences and dont wanna deal with those things again XP …Anyway, yeah, if youre interested, look me up. the name is Jullianne Medrano :)</p>
<p>Has everyone that applied for Transfer housing heard about assignments already? My son applied June 1st, but hasn’t heard. He needs to apply for the parking lottery, but can’t until he knows whether he’ll be living on campus or be a commuter.</p>
<p>I recieved my assignment on Wednesday and I applied June 1st.
I tried calling, they won’t answer… But my advise would be to call tomorrow and ask why people who applied on the first already got their assignment, and your son hasn’t.</p>

<p>So here is my dilemma. I got Sierra, with two people who are close to my age.</p>
<p>But I got an offer in Cardinal Gardens with three people who are 3 years younger than me…</p>

<p>Hey Chaly, yeah I got that same offer in Cardinal Gardens but I opted for Sierra. For me it came down to Sierra being nearly $700 less a semester…I’ve since then gotten over the fact that I’ll be a lot farther from campus. I know Cardinal Gardens is supposed to be a lot nicer though, so if you can afford it, and want to take a chance with an outside offer, I’d say you should take it.</p>
<p>I talked to the housing office today. They said it could be up to two weeks before they will have notified everyone about their housing application. They also said you will be notified by email either way… whether you got a housing assignment or they cannot accommodate you for the fall.</p>
<p>And… so I forfeited Sierra …</p>

Well actually Im not so sure because I might send in a reassignment for Regal Trojan.
It’s cheaper and farther away from the fraternity/sorority housing. </p>
<p>And hiphippo, I decline Cardinal for the same reason, money
But WomanofTroy, who is the wisest/most helpful USC person EVER, told me that there are trams that take you to the campus and they have “tracking system online so you can literally see where it’s stopping and how long it’ll take to get to you”
So living "far"from campus might not be soo bad.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that most of these places (the farthest ones) are only a 5-minute bike ride from campus. Not far at all.</p>
<p>Yeah… I think I’ll just stay in Sierra…</p>
<p>now I just need financial aid to accept my appeal and Im set :)…well, not ALL set, but I’ll be able to attend USC for sure :)</p>
<p>ahhhhhh two more weeks till orientation! i haven’t taken the math placement test yet sigh</p>

how do you find out who your roommates are? I clicked “rooms” on the housing application page, but it said that i am not assigned a room… which is odd… However, on the confirmation page, it says that I’m living with the RA.</p>
