USC Admitted Transfer Students 2009

aaam90- hmm? what do you mean?

no because mine says that too.

i had a 4.0 with 21 units completed and now i just finished with a 3.97 overall with my spring semester grades.

so i was a transferring freshman as well.

yeah, but i’m worried i’ll end up with a 3.4 cause it donest look like my grades are going to go up. it sucks cause i’m at a CC and grades are just As Bs Cs etc. no pluses or minuses. i have two B+s and two As…which is a 3.4. =(

well,

when i click autosearch in the housing application; it gives me a list of people’s “screennames” and the choice to “view profiles” at the end of the page; and i was just wondering how to be added to the autosearch thing. i saw you chose “zamela”?

well, i’ll guess i’ll just email a counselor. cause if you didnt get it, then thats weirrrd

there’s an option for you to choose to be added to the autosearch

hmm…you should definitely email your counselor before the semester is completely over and see if your acceptance will be rescinded because you aren’t maintaining a 3.5?

are you taking any pre-reqs or anything??

also; what school did you accepted to? marshall??

(if so, maybe it’s only marshall applicants??)

are you ariellem0jica? cause i see it listed on the auto search

got accepted into clas as a pysch major. the only pre-req i’m taking this semester is the second semster of english. but i saw that other people posted that their admission condition is just to get a B in that class. lol. i wish i had that

ohh! so i guess it’s just your application username haha. lol okay. sorry for the confusion.

and yelnats, yeah definitely email and maybe see if they are strict about it if you’re still within the range of a 3.5?? be sure to post the response you receive because i think some people are having the same problem.

for sure aaam. thanks for the help!

noo problem. :)

My son emailed his admissions counselor that he needed to speak to him about the admissions conditions early this morning. He called back almost immediately and, when my son said it was because he wasn’t going to make the 3.5 GPA, the counselor responded in a surprisingly angry tone, “Well what happened this semester!” The tone took my son off guard and he was thrown off the answer he was going to give and kind of gave a lame reason. The counselor told him that he would need to fax in his grades before they could discuss it any further. Doesn’t sound good, unfortunately.

uhhh ohhh. you should call the general office back and ask another person who might be nicer or in a better mood at least.

gxgal7- I am sorry this is occurring. There are some people on here who have very nice and timely counselors. I would ask on this http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/533874-usc-2009-transfer-thread-651.html</a> forum instead if anyone can refer you to one of their counselors that’s nice. Mine is very nice, but she does not respond very quickly.

has anyone tried to petition a class yet?

zamela, have you found out which of your classes are transferrable and which aren’t already?

they sent me a letter with all of my transferable classes already. it’s also on OASIS

so i just got back an email from my counselor regarding the admisison condition of maintaining a 3.5 GPA. he said “If your GPA drops below a 3.5 for this semester it is likely that your admission will be revoked; instances in which students fail to meet the conditions of their admission will be reviewed individually by the Director of Admission.”

basically… don’t get below a 3.5.
