Hey guys,
I have been accepted to both USC (Southern Cal) and Wake Forest, and am very interested in both. Your thoughts on the two? Everything is welcome. Thanks!

First of all, congrats! You got into two great schools, albeit different ones.

Okay. Why don’t you explain some of your preferences, prospective majors, personalty type, etc.? It will be a lot easier to help you out when we know more a bout you.

hmm it’s close but I would pick USC in this case. If you are ok with a large school, USC is the pick, if you would like a smaller school, Wake Forest would be the pick.

Do you prefer football or basketball?

Tim Duncan went to Wake Forest.

Reggie Bush went to SC.

i got accepted into USC’s Marshall Business School and I want to apply into Calloway Business School (WFU’s biz school).

About me: White male from California, want to be in a frat, like sports, partying, etc. Both schools seem very good for a guy like me lol…

“I want to apply into Calloway Business School”

wait, so were you not accepted into WFU’s business school?

u have to apply into Calloway after your sophomore year

hmm in that case I might go to USC since you are at least guaranteed admission into the business school

any other thoughts on the two schools?

So you are looking to do a business major…any specific field?

finance probably

any other thoughts…? i appreciate it!

finaid is generally better at 'SC if that is a consideration.

financial aid is the same at both schools…

is the general consensus that bpoth are very similar academically and in terms of prestige? i want to go to a top grad school, so are they equally good for sending kids to grad schools?

I think USC is more “prestigious” than Wake Forest

really? by a lot? going to college is not all about prestige but it is certainly important…

any other thoughts on these two schools???

LA sucks!!! But USC is a better school.

haha i agree im not a huge fan of LA but we’ll see…i mean if u want to go by USNWR rankings (which im not a huge an of) USC is 27th and Wake is 28th, so it seems like they are obviously very close. Also, according in Business Week’s 2009 rankings, Wake’s Business school is 14th and USC’s is 21st…Is USC really better??

For MBA USC is much better. Most people know business schools by MBA rankings.

I think if you look at it, both schools are VERY good and very similar in quality. USC is more “prestigious” but don’t choose based on prestige. I think USC has a better location but really it’s all up to your personal likings here. Choose the school which you feel more comfortable at cuz there’s not much of a difference.
