Other Factors, hook?:
I had a really excellent interview. Also, my essay was very strong.

I’m also the youngest type 1 diabetic to ever run a marathon. Not that that has much to do with academics. And I don’t think it’s why I got in, but who knows?

General Comments, scholarship chances, status info, going to USC…?: Didn’t make the scholarships, and USC is the first school I’ve heard from, so I dont’ know where I’ll be going yet! I’m from California and the L.A. area though, so I’d love to go back.

Oh! I’m also fluent in American Sign Language (I took it all four years of high school for my foreign language credits) and I teach it to the ALE kids at my school.

Other Factors, hook?: First generation, low income, did not attend any interview

General Comments, scholarship chances, status info, going to USC…?: This was one of the high-tier colleges I got accepted to along with UCLA; however, I will not be attending USC. I did not apply for any scholarships, and I didn’t apply for financial aid either, so I definitely won’t be coming here. I haven’t ever really intended on attending this school, I just wanted to see if I could get accepted! I guess I “wasted” money on the application, but no regrets here: You only live once. :)

Good luck to all future perspective students!
