USC Fall 2018 Sophomore Transfer

I have accepted USC’s offer for guaranteed admission (guaranteed pathway) for the fall of 2018 for my sophomore year. I am trying to find other current college freshman who have also accepted this plan. Also want to find out about other current freshman looking to transfer to USC as a sophomore in fall 2018. It is early to start talking about it but I want to start thinking about housing options and the other general topics for next year

Do you have the right forum? University of Southern California has the Trojan Transfer Plan…which is not guaranteed. Unless they started something new, there is not a guaranteed admission pathway for sophomores, but please let us know if there is something new.

The “Guaranteed Pathway” plan was only offered to a few dozen applicants. It is basically deferred admission. Applicants who accept have to go to another college for their freshman year (preferably a CA community college so credits transfer better), maintain a 3.3 while taking 30 semester units through Fall-Spring. If they follow this plan successfully along with other USC standards mentioned in the letters they are granted admission to the Fall of 2018 (sophomore year) without having to re apply.

Interesting, this is the first we have heard of this. Surprising they don’t have anything about it anywhere. I did find Guaranteed Pathway for University of Sunshine Coast (ha, another USC wherever that is…) online. But nothing on the USC site.

They have needed this for awhile. This is basically TTP that is guaranteed if gpa is met. Way better than the “maybe approach” of TTP.

Jump on the current transfer thread, you will find lots of people coming in when you do! Based on history, it seems a lot of those active on the thread somehow end up at USC. Good luck!
