USC for business or UConn for engineering

I probably want to get an MBA,

and if I went to UConn for engineering I would graduate in three years.

at USC I could do business for three years, or a double major with Economics/chemistry/engineering.

bump please?

is this the real USC in los angeles or is it south carolina?

University of Southern California.

UConn is 20k a year and USC is 45k by the way.

where do you want to work, east or west coast, and although the CoA is vastly different, does that matter to your family or not?

west coast but where I want to work shouldn’t be too important. The CoA matters slightly to my family

I would go UConn engineering for 25K less. Engineering + MBA = excellent credentials for corporate jobs

well, if you want to end up on the west coast the USC degree is awesome, especially in california. uconn degree? not so much. MBA admittance to top programs is heavily dependent on your work experience… and i don’t think it would be a lie to say that a USC marshall or viterbi degree would almost certainly give you better job placement than uconn.

if you feel like USC is worth the extra money and your parents are able to pay, then i would highly suggest you go for it.

if it is difficult to pay the extra money then by all means go to uconn. it is not a bad option at all.

uSC is not worth 25K or 100K over 4 yrs no way! Go to UCONN

it isn’t difficult to pay 25k more, but it is two times more expensive. Is it better to have job placement on the west coast or east coast, or is it all the same?

and I would plan on graduating in 3 years so USC is 75k more than uconn over 3 years.

How will job placement be out of a state school like UConn, if I major in engineering?

difficult for who? you? or your parents? And planning on graduating in 3 yrs is fine, but you never know what life will bring your way so think in terms of 4 just to be safe. Even so USC is not worth 75K over UCONN. It’s not like UCONN is a crappy school or that USC is even that much better than it.
