USC Housing

I'm applying as a transfer, and I will have 58 credit hours when I enter USC. However, if I am accepted, it will be to a 4-year program, so I'll more or less be a freshman.

What are my options for on-campus housing? I thought I read that USC has lots of on-campus apartments. Can you apply to be paired up with a roommate for these, or do I have to find my own roommate to help split expenses? Also, when should I apply(I haven't even been accepted yet)?

If anyone is familiar with the process, your help would be appreciated!

It is difficult to get housing as a transfer student, but you should apply for housing as soon as you are accepted. There are on-campus housing as well as near campus housing options, but the demand tends to exceed supply. Even if your program is a 4-year program, you will NOT be considered a “freshman” for housing purposes.
My daughter transferred to USC as a sophomore & was offered housing in an apartment on campus with 3 other girls (one had moved out, leaving her with the 4th spot). She did not inquire about other housing options but was glad they had a spot she could occupy.
You can go to USC.edu & contact their housing department for more information about options for transfer students, so you’re ready when you get your acceptance.

Just wanted to bump this. If anyone else has any advice on transfer housing, it would be greatly appreciated!
