google2008 and aa6590, where are you guys from, if you don't mind me asking? Also, when was the letter dated?

As you can see, I'm really anxious about the whole thing...haha.

socal. they priority mailed it on friday

same here socal

Shooooooooot I hope mine comes tomorrow, then, lol.

yikes! I haven't received mine yet.

^nvm

I got an interview :)! and the letter is dated 1/31/08.

@xcrunner: I don't know how many people get interviews, but my letter says that about 1/3 of those interviewed are accepted into the program.

edit: from the bmd website: "Question: How many Baccalaureate/MD students are accepted each year? How many apply?
Answer: Each year more than 800 students apply for the USC Baccalaureate/MD program. 100 candidates are selected for special on-campus interviews. From that pool, about 30 are selected for admittance into the program."

what's your stats?

GPA: 4.0 UW (by end of senior year, I will have taken 10 AP's)
SAT: 2360
SAT II's: 3 800's
However, my extracurriculars are not jaw-droppingly impressive, so I'll be surprised if I actually get accepted into the program.

Those are some pretty impressive stats! Gahh, my chances look very bleak now.

Nope, not from California. USC had an interview event in Chicago.

Also, what kind of stats did your friend have?

rejected! does anyone know when we will get results from USC undergrad

I got mine about a week ago, but I think all decisions come out by April.

just got my interview letter :) im excited to go to cali.

question--is it weird that i haven't gotten any scholarship information? should i try calling to see if that is right or just accept the fact that im not being offered a scholarship. for other ppl who applied b/md.. did you guys get scholarship stuff? this prob sounds extremely arrogant, im really not trying to be.. but im just surprised that i havent gotten anything because u would assume that if they are willing to offer an interview for the b/md program, which is extremely selective, that applicant would at least be good enough for consideration for one of the many scholarships. o wells

yea, I applied to the bacc/md and got scholarship stuff (the Presidential) yesterday and got the USC undergrad a week ago, but nothing yet about the interview for bacc/md...anyone else not gotten acceptance/rejection to interviews? i dont live in cal but it shouldn't take that long to get letters...

Just got my USC ba/md interview stuff. Definitely looking forward to meeting people from here.

I got my undergrad stuff last friday, and scholarship stuff yesterday.

Could the people that got in post some stats, just to see where everyone is at?

congrats xcrunner18! do you know which day you are planning on going? I'm going to be there on the 20th. Hopefully being on the first day won't be bad. I'm afraid they'll forget me by the time they finish interviewing everyone. Maybe I'm just paranoid though. I think it shouldn't really matter, but I've been on a selection committee before and I seem to remember the people near the end better. But perhaps thats just me. Anyways, if you go on the 20th we'll have to meet up or something.

Are you from the cali area or out of state? If you are out of state, im assuming you'll stay with a host?

If I live less than an hour away, should I still choose to stay with a host... or is the host thing aimed at out-of-staters?

i dont think the host thing is just for out-of-staters. I just said that i would assume out of staters would stay with a host since they wouldnt have anywhere to stay anyways.. or at least in my case. I think staying with a host is a good opportunity to see what its really like being a student at usc. I'm guessing you could benefit from the experience, but since I don't know any more about the program than you do.. don't take my word on this.

Argh, the snow in Chicago must be slowing everything down, lol. I still have yet to hear anything from USC other than an undergrad acceptance.

@mjchiu2k, I think I'm going on the 26th. I'm OOS, Illinois to be exact. Congrats to you as well though.

@ppenguin757, You might want to call them up, I'm from the area, and I got mine yesterday. When did you get undergrad?
