I am a senior in high school and I really want to go to the University of Southern California. I have a 4.6 weighted GPA, 3.7 unweighted and a 1290 on my SAT. I am worried most about my test scores. I am applying as a journalism major and spend a lot of time participating in extracurricular activities and volunteering.
I am treasurer for my school’s Girl Up Club (a United Nations affiliate), historian for my school’s helping the homeless club, and a senior class representative. I have been a part of my school news for all four years of high school and work as a lead anchor and floor director. I also help write the daily stories. I also became an intern at my local history center and volunteered two summers in a row there. I have a total of 949 community service hours for all 4 years of high school. I have had three non-fiction articles published in online literary magazines. The articles I have had published all center around my experiences serving my community and my thoughts on how to improve communities.
