I applied EA to Michigan and got accepted and recently got an acceptance from the University of Southern California. The thing is, I'm having an extremely difficult time deciding between the two. I know Michigan has one of the BEST undergraduate business schools in the nation, but the weather is a bit of a downer. USC also has an amazing business school but not as nationally recognized as Ross (in my opinion), but it's in LA and the weather is amazing in California. Wharton has been a childhood dream of mine, and with my high school GPA I didn't think it would be possible for me to get in, so I decided not to apply this year. So I guess my main question is: which school would be better to try to transfer to Wharton after freshman year, USC or Michigan?

You can’t really go wrong, both are prestigious business schools and doing well at either school will bode well for a transfer.
However, you can’t guarantee that your transfer will be successful, so choose the school you’d like to go to even if you didn’t get into Wharton.

Also, when did you receive a decision from USC? I didn’t know they were notifying anyone yet.

It’s going to be nearly impossible to transfer into Wharton, so pick the school you want to stay at for four years. But please, don’t choose because of the weather. There are a ton of way more important factors to consider. Visit both and see which one fits you best.

Ross is significantly better than Marshall. Unless you intend to work in California when you graduate, the choice is clear.
