USC or any of these other great schools?

So I want to do finance, so I would study business at Marshall at USC, but at all the other schools I would study economics. I already know I want to work in California, preferably SoCal. I’m leaning USC, because I feel like their alumni network can’t be beat, and they produce such successful people. However I also got into Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Cornell, UVa, and Berkeley. I would go to Cornell or Northwestern, but I have Raynaud’s, so I don’t think they’d be very practical because of the extremely cold weather. Which of these schools should I go to?

Are costs an issue? If so, what are the net costs? Do you intend to pursue grad studies? Are NU and Cornell on the table or not (two of your best options academically)?

If you’d rather be in an undergraduate business program from day one(that’s USC’s motto) and prefer not to study economics, and you want a job in California, and cost is not an issue, then I think you are leaning in the right direction. I’m assuming you are not in Dyson at Cornell and the cold is an issue for you anyway. You are going to wait two years for business at UVA. I also think you have to apply for Haas while there, but not quite sure, but that is also an awesome option for you since you want to stay in California after school. Northwestern is fantastic for economics and there actually is a cc inquiry on the Northwestern page asking specifically about Raynaud’s and the cold. Check it out. But it sounds like your heart is at USC and I’d say it is such an excellent program, that I wouldn’t hesitate at all. Admissions were really tough this year and you should be so proud of yourself.
