USC or Carnegie Mellon for electrical engineering

Hey guys, so I’ve been admitted to both schools and I’m trying to decide between them. The thing is I know Cmu has a better engineering program, but Usc still has a good program but I feel like the overall experience will be better there. I’m really stuck because on the one hand I want the best program but on the other, I’m worried that cmu will be too antisocial for my liking. I’m a decently social person and I’d wanna go to parties and stuff on weekends if I could, and I wouldn’t wanna miss out on that. I also love academics though and Im planning on working hard wherever I go. Is USC’s engineering worse enough compared to cmu’s that it’s worth going to cmu just because of that. Or vice versa, is cmu’ social life really that bad, especially when compared to usc? I’m considering going to grad school after, so would either be significantly better for that? These are the two main factors I’m considering now, money is about the same for both (expensive as hell!) and weather is a bonus but I live in Boston so I can totally live in the cold no problem. Thanks for any help.

Bumpity bump bump

Sorry to bump this again but I really would appreciate any input. I’m leaning towards usc but a lot of people are telling me to go to carnegie Mellon because it’s a better engineering program.

Go wherever you are happy. CMU probably has a better program, but they are so comparable that it really wouldn’t matter in the long run.
