USC or UCSD for economics?

I am looking to major in economics, and I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go to USC or UCSD. I am definitely looking for the 'whole college experience' but I also want to work hard for grad school. I am an international student from Asia so I will be paying OOS fees for UCSD, and I did not get any merit aid from USC. Also, visiting the schools is out of the question now due to financial reasons.

So... where should I go???

from what ive heard from friends i dont think ucsd comes close to ‘whole college exp’ vs. usc :)

USC! It is one of the top colleges that houses the most international students in the US. My friend goes to USC and she says there are very very many International students, especially from Asia. What part of Asia are you from? I think you will be able to fit better at USC than UCSD. And for the economics major, USC all the way. Also, if you ever find yourself the possibility of switching majors, USC has such a variety of majors (from like engineering to cinema!) so it is a safe school. It is also much smaller than UCSD so you will be able to be closer to many of the students here. ALSO, the biggest thing that made me choose USC over UCLA is that UCs are impacted and very crowded. It will be hard to get classes at UCs.

Also, won’t the OOS UCSD costs be almost same as USC’s cost?

Feel free to contact me! I am Asian as well. :)

Economics at USC got better than before, but still not comparable to UCSD. I think you should look at the two programs more to make a final decision.

The student life here is much better than at UCSD, though.

USC = World renowned USC Chicks.
UCSD = The infamous Triton Eye. [Urban Dictionary: Triton Eye](Urban Dictionary: Triton Eye)
