Which one has more grade deflation, or which one is it easier to get a high gpa in?

Michigan has more grade deflation than USC.

Ok thanks. So there is no policy then at USC that says like only 10 percent of the people get A's, and such?

There is no carved-in-stone policy where 10 percent of people get As at any university... It just so happens that a putting a class on a bell curve with a B- as its median and a letter grade up/down being one standard deviation away will result in ~10% getting As and ~10% getting Ds (and below), while Bs and Cs occupy the meat of the curve on either side of the median. This practice of bell-curving just happens to take place more often at public universities like the Michigan and the UCs such as Berkeley and UCLA.

yeah, the C+ or b- median bell curves make 4.0's here damn near impossible. One slip on a test or one bad paragraph in a paper and you can rule out getting an A or A- in some classes.

Ok, thanks guys. So anyone know what the median bell curve is for classes at usc?
