USC Receives $11 Million Gift from Billy Wilder Estate

<p>The USC Keck School of Medicine has received a major gift from the estate of the award winning filmmaker, Billy Wilder and his wife. It will be funded by the Billy Wilder Family Trust.
Of that sum $5 million will be used to create an endowed chair in neurosurgery. A hospital clinical care program, under Mark Krieger, will receive $3 million. The remining funds will be used for the new Neuro-Oncology program, pediatric rheumatology and programs for children.</p>

<p>Other gifts to Keck reported were:</p>

<p>$3.5 million from UKRA for kidney research
$ 3.6 million from gala to Dept. of Urology
$1 million from Robertson family
$75,000 from Borchard Foundation for heart research</p>

<p>Other gifts received recently were to endow chairs or for medical research. No amounts were released for these donations.</p>
