I applied to the BFA Acting major and my audition is in February, but scholarship decisions are sent in January. Since my admission is heavily based on the audition, am I not able to be considered for a merit scholarship since I can’t be admitted before they see my audition? Or do they evaluate those applicants differently? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
You should probably call the admissions department and ask them for the specific details.
Scholarship decisions are not set in January – invitations for scholarship consideration weekend is sent out then.
I know someone who is at USC for music who was granted a scholarship. He was invited up for the scholarship interview before his audition, if memory serves.
What are your stats? If you are NMF (and admitted) you will get 1/2 tuition automatically and will probably be invited for consideration for a full ride.
^^ You mean full-tuition? USC doesn’t give full rides, and the best you can get is full-tuition + a $5,000 stipend, as far as I’m concerned.
NMF scholarships are 1/2 tuition .
