I am a sophomore in college looking to transfer to USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. I was wondering if anyone knew of past transfer acceptance rates for students into this specific school. I go to a 4-year university outside of California.
As far as I know, USC does not release the transfer acceptance rate for each school specifically. They’ve only released a general acceptance rate for transfers, which is 28% and average GPA: 3.7
Info found here: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/docs/TransferringToUSC.2015.pdf
The School of Cinematic Arts is HIGHLY selective. My guess is the transfer acceptance rate might be in the low single digits. Students with superior grades, outstanding essay and a portfolio that stands out appear to have the best chance of serious consideration.
SCA does not release admission numbers.
It depends on the major. There 3-4 Critical Studies transfer students this year, but I haven’t met any transfers in other majors.
