Sorry to dig up an old post, but now that many people have gotten in, I was just wondering how many of you were planning on rushing in the fall!

gotrojans have you gotten in yet? I applied as a sophomore transfer so I won't find out for awhile. I am definitely going to rush if I get in. Being in a sorority is something I've always wanted to do!

I am planning on rushing!

^^^ oh really! are you going to be a freshman next year or are you a transfer student?

freshman, however I am not 100% decided on USC..

I think I'm going to rush just for the experience. :D

I just got in last week as a freshman! FIGHT ON!

I think rush is a great opportunity to meet people regardless of whether you pledge. My mom made many wonderful friends just through rush even though she didn't pledge at SC.

I was just looking into sororities at SC cause its like my dream to go to USC and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about SDT at USC cause I know its like a brand new chapter

sfgiants,
You have ranked groups in a public forum. From what I know about recruitment numbers these rankings are one person's opinion. I hope each woman who goes through recruitment pays no attention to these rankings, but makes her own choice.

As I wrote in another post here are the awards given to groups previously as found in the local newspaper.
Most outstanding sorority in 2005-2006 Delta Delta Delta
2006-2007 Delta Gamma
2007-2008 ?

I'm an alum of USC and of a sorority there. I have to agree with cc41 and say reputations are ingrained there and don't change a whole lot over time. The rankings as he presented them are pretty much what they were in 1992,minus houses that have left since then (Sigma Kappa, Chi Omega)

i knew a girl who is in kappa and myself along with other agree that she is snobby, so maybe reputations are ingrained.

There are reputations..and then there is the truth. As a former member I can say that when you rush meet the girls...not the HOUSE. You may click at a house where you least expect to have fun. Conversely your "dream house" may be a disaster. I don't know about SDT specifically (whether they have a house or not), but I know that they colonized quite recently as a local and gained enough members/strength to become a national in just a very few years. Try GreekChat.com and ask there for specifics. My older daughter knew a couple of girls from SDT and said that they were very nice.

Recruitment registration has now been posted on the panhellenic website!

the girl i know is like high up in the sorority too, so yeah, sometimes there are some truth.
