USC Student Apathy?

Hi! I wasn't quite sure how to word the subject so do forgive me it if affronted anyone. So I have a few USC acquaintances, and it seems that whenever I ask them questions about USC they're really vague and nonspecific, and oftentimes don't even respond! By contrast, when I ask UC Berkeley students, they are exceptionally thorough and passionate and knowledgeable in their responses. For USC I have tons of questions as I'm a Trustee Scholar deciding between USC and UC Berkeley (Regents), and I wish that I was able to have a continuous and convincing discussion with a USC student about why USC is possibly a better choice. At one point I was leaning towards USC but I'm not so sure anymore. :( I even sent an email to a director of a science program who assured me that I could direct questions to her, but she hasn't responded and it's been several days :/
I apologize if I sound sanctimonious or anything like that...I'm sick and stressed and don't know where to go for college and just wish I could get some help :/
My counselor's response to my worries: "Pick USC. You'd be crazy to go to Berkeley." Not the most cogent assertion.

It depends on what your major, cost of each program, etc… It’s hard to answer unless you can provide what’s important to you.
