I’m thinking of transferring to USC. I have a 31 college credit hours (regionally accredited college), 3.77 GPA (of 4). I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Since I’m beyond 30 credit hours, SAT/ACT is irrelevant. Its an out-of-state transfer. With this limited information, does anyone believe I have somewhat of a probability of getting accepted? Thanks.
Biggest problem is that USC overenrolled last year so I would assume it would be affected by that.
The statistics though, at least look doable?
If you are just asking about stats, yes, they are in the range, but there are factors in play that are out of your control. How many they need per school, per major, how many other applicants apply and their stats, or even how interesting they are as a person/applicant, then all the various demographic factors that come into play to create a well rounded class. Stats are very important in transfers, ECs mean little or nothing, but it is still holistic with other things being considered. There will be 4.0 transfers that are not admitted just like in the freshman class regular cycle where thousands that are in the 99th percentile of scores aren’t admitted. So yes, stats are in the range, but there is nothing certain in college admissions until the packet is in hand or the portal is updated. Good luck!
