USC Trustee or Stanford

I didn’t think anyone else would be in the same position as me, but here you are aberdeen!
I have been accepted to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, UCB, UCLA, and USC.

AND like you…I interviewed for the Presidential at SC but was given the Trustee Scholarship! So now, I have narrowed down my options and I’m stuck between Stanford and SC as well! (Yes, I know…I’m crazy for turning down Harvard and Princeton but what can I say? I love the West Coast!)

Whenever I ask for someone’s opinion on what I should choose, I get a different response. Half of the people say I should go to USC because it is close to home and slightly cheaper, while the other half say I’m crazy if I don’t go to Stanford…So now I’m stuck. I’m about 70% sure that I will choose Stanford, but I’m waiting for Admit Weekend too. Maybe I’ll find you there and we can stress over this together.

Hey, as horrible and stressful as our decisions are, I’m very thankful that we have these choices. Congrats!

Not crazy at all! I think Stanford’s so far up there that it’s impossible to say if any of those are “better” than the other. In fact, if I had to choose between the three (Stanford, Harvard, Princeton) I would definitely have chosen Stanford. (personal opinion, of course  )

Staying close to home (if that’s what you want to do) is certainly a valid reason, not crazy either. Though Stanford is an opportunity.
