I am from Northern California. Anyone have any opinions as to which is better for Undergraduate in Engineering? USC or Rice?
The field of engineering is broad. Do you have a preference for your major? Rice is perceived to be stronger than USC is some areas, whereas USC is perceived to be stronger than Rice in other areas.
Have you visited both campuses? They are quite different. You should evaluate your “fit” as well as which university is “better.”
Yes I agree. Fit is very important as they are both good schools. The areas are Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Admission is in Biomedical Engineering but might move to Mechanical Engineering.
