USC vs. UCI (I need help deciding!)

Here's my situation. I'm going to be a freshman next year.. and I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice. I really like both schools and I think they are both beautiful.. but I really need help weighing out the pros and cons since I don't know what I want to major in yet. (I'm interested in biochemistry, business, economics if that's any difference). So, I'm looking for a strong (overall) academic program.

USC

Spring ('08) Admission
approx 20k/year
Dorms

UCI

Fall Admission
approx 13K/year
off campus housing at the most (parents think it's too close to home to be living in a dorm)

I'm a bit in favor of USC, but will the 20K accumulate and build up too much? Is it worth the extra $7,000/year?

please advise...

ide think so
are u goin all out on loans
or is part paid for

anyway
i think ide take USC, personally,
but if ur paying for the whole think, it really matters that u feel ur making the right decision

my parents agreed to pay about $9K

the rest will have to be loans (and these numbers are only the parents share, there's my part for loans and work study approx $4000 for my share)

The Marshall School is a great business program, and as far as social life, USC blows UCI out of the water.

i'll say this much...UCI was in the running with USC, UCLA, and UCSD exclusively because of the money factor. i wouldn't have had to pay tuition at UCI (or any UC from my dad's veteran's benefits) and with their Regents' Scholarship they would have PAID me $9,000 a year to attend. but after spending a day at the campus and knowing a lot of people that went there, there was absolutely no way that i could attend UCI. i couldn't see myself happy there at all.

on papaer, USC cost considerably more, but their grants, scholarship, and third party scholarships made things cheap enough to justify the price difference. and haven't thought twice about my decision to attend USC.
