I actually applied to both as engineering, but was admitted to USC as undecided and to Warren College in UCSD as undecided. I am thinking I will try to do engineering, but my plans could change.

So far, I have some pros and cons of each school

UCSD Pros
I am in Warren, which seems to be a good fit for an undecided considering engineering
Location - The weather is great, I like the city and I like the beach

UCSD Cons
Apparently no school spirit or athletics

USC Pros
Smaller classes
Sports and school spirit

USC Cons
Big, dirty city
More expensive, although I could afford it

If your looking for spirit go USC, their Trojan pride is scary so much I sometimes think it’s a whole cult. SD is amazing for engineering and their food is ok. For USC I’m also still unsure what they’re good for, they’re well rounded and have a good theater program but that’s it, also their food is horrible. You should visit both campuses if you haven’t already to see which you prefer more. If I’m not mistaken Triton day is one week away from now you should try attending. I actually got accepted to both UCSD and USC so I’m also looking for pros for USC too. Leaning more towards USB and UCLA atm.

thanks. some more info: USC is 3 hours away driving and UCSD is 5. I’m in-state and neither said anything about scholarships in their acceptance letters although I can afford both schools
