Which would be better? which has the better business program (specifically finance) and which degree would hold more power in the san diego business area? do u get ur money's worth from usd?

This is a completely anecdotal answer, but when I held a mgt position in SD a few years back, there was a significant difference in perception between grad's of the two schools. USD kids seemed more qualified and more serious. Both schools are pretty well connected w/ the biz comm'ty, but USD students got more personal counseling.

I can't answer the money's worth question for you, but I urge you to check the two schools' graduation rates. Last time I checked, SDSU's SIX YEAR grad'n rate was around 36%. That is just too low. As a parent funding a Cal student's sixth year, I can tell you that at some point, cost of living expenses catch up w/ public schools' lower tuition.

thanks a lot, the main thing i'm worried about is money, do u per chance have any idea what someone with an efc of around 6k's a year would get in terms of fin aid?

Mike you should do great in the finaid dept at USD and their business program is top rate

thanks a lot, but when you say great do u mean that i will recieve enough money to be able to attend usd or what kind of aid would be offered? would it be mostly grants and workstudy or loans and stuff like that?

Last yr they offered a large sized grant, a subsidized loan (I beiieve the loan is 2,500 or thereabouts) and work study to make up the difference
