Anyone have much luck with getting good deals on used supplies? I've gone the normal routes and looked at a couple of auction sites, but the cost is still pretty grim for most textbooks.

I like using www.cheapesttextbooks.com This site compares prices at several other websites, so you can find the best price.

That looks pretty good for the textbooks. I've tried www.schoolbookacution.com for some supplies, and books, but the site you mentioned looks better for textbooks.

I use bigwords.com. I had to buy 11 books this semester, and each one normally ranged between 20 and 100 dollars. If I'd bought them at the store, I'd have spend around 800 bucks.

As it was? I bought all of them for $175.22.

I just hit the second-hand bookstores in my city. I can usually find all of my textbooks, in very good-to-mint condition, for less than a third of the cover prices.

half.com did wonders for me.

i just bought my books at half.com, and then i saw this post and saw www.cheapesttextbooks.com and found a new organic chem book that was $20 cheaper than using half.com. gahh oh well its 20 bucks and it wont kill me
