<p>Is it considered acceptable to use old essay prompts for those "Pose a question of your own choice" prompts?</p>
<p>For example, I want to use U Chicago's "How do you feel about Wednesday?" for the 6th option of the CommonApp essay.</p>
<p>Sure, the 6th option is the topic of your choice, so if that topic is Wednesday and you have a good story to write about it, by all means do it.</p>

<p>What about using current essay prompts from UChicago? I really like the Heisenberg prompt from UChicago, but I’m not applying there. I really want to use it for my CommonApp essay, though. Is this okay?</p>
