<p>Has anyone written a poem in the place of an essay for an application before? Was it successful? Is this a good idea?</p>
<p>I was reading 50 essays that succeeded from Harvard, and this one person posted her own poem into her essay. </p>
<p>Needless to say, it worked.</p>
<p>Mmm… it would have to be a DARNED good poem, and easy to read & interpret… I can think of a zillion bad ways this could be done, and just would annoy the ad-com reading it. Because there is nothing worse than bad poetry.</p>
