What are my son's chances of getting a nomination to the USNA? He has been determined to be triple qualified and has gotten a MOC nomination. He as a 30 ACT, and 1320 math/verbal SAT and because of AP classes has a GPA of 4.2. He plays football, baseball, and does track. He has been president of his class, and is president of the National Honor Society this year. He is a school ambassador and is a member of SGA. We were hoping for an LOA but that has not come. Does that mean that there is something about him that the review board does not like? He has applied to 5 other schools that have NROTC programs and is determined to be a naval officer one way or another. Should we just be patient and wait for the April 15th letter, or is the lack of contact an indirect signal that he is not what they are looking for at the academy? He has gotten scholarship offers from 3 of the 5 other schools, but they are not his top choice.
