UT Austin class of 2026 admissions

what does capped mean?

“In general, CAP makes it possible for some freshman applicants to UT Austin to begin their studies at another UT System university. After completing CAP requirements during their freshman year, students transfer to UT Austin to complete their undergraduate studies.”

@user230 @RedPup , but CAP does not guarantee you can transfer to the major of your choice.

@RedPup All UT system schools participate in the CAP program EXCEPT UT Dallas. UT San Antonio and UT Arlington are the most popular CAP schools and fill up the fastest.

My son just got Engineering decision. Check your portal! Good luck to everyone!

Everyone that got news today, you’re all auto-admits, right?

is this a major wave or a small one ?

Do you get an email when you get an acceptance or do you have to log into UT Direct to know?
Thank you!

Everyone that is hearing back now, did you apply priority decision or regular decision?

me too, auto admit, business major. Just shows bad 1000 data but does show the 200$ owed. I don’t think RIS is accurate, at least for auto. The valedictorian at my school also had the bad 1000 data so I’m not reading into it too much.
