“This is the second time a harsh penalty has been handed to the Cowboys, who were banned from campus for five years after the death of 19-year-old Gabe Higgins, who drowned in the Colorado River in 1995 following what school officials said were hours of alcohol-fueled hazing.”
The article explains that the suspension could be lifted as soon as 2022. I’m surprised and disappointed that the penalty wasn’t harsher. They obviously didn’t learn their lesson the first time.
