If OP wants a close-knit community and school pride, Wesleyan has it. UT has school pride too (lots of it), but it’s hard to argue it’s a close-knit community. So it depends what OP wants. I really don’t think there’s a bad choice between these two and probably a campus visit at both will clear any hesitation.
