I was wondering if I could get in to this school with a gpa of 3.9 weighted and a class rank within the top 15%. I am a junior in high school and not yet have taken the act or sat. I will very soon though. I am also a swimmer, 3rd year varsity swimmer and 9 years of club expierience. I recently just turned 16 and these are my times from last years:
100 SCY breaststroke: 1:01.03
100 LCM breaststroke: 1:10.77
200 SCY breaststroke: 2:16.83
200 LCM breaststroke: 2:36.95
200 SCY IM: 2:00.94
200 LCM IM: 2:22.19
Are my chances good both academically and a sport to get in
UT Austin uses something called AI (Academic Index) and PAI (Personal Assessment Index ?). If you know your SAT score and the school you plan to apply we can calculate your normalized score. Since you do not fall into auto admit you need the school (major you plan to study) to accept you.
i am planning on studying in the medical field, more leaning into nursing.
Nursing is a very competitive major. You have not listed any SAT/ACT scores. You will need to do very well on those tests to get accepted.
