UT Dallas Vs. UT Pan American

I have a question.
I have free rides (Tuition, Housing, fees etc) at UT Dallas and UT Pan American and wanted to know which would be a better one?

I am planning on majoring in Premed and Studies are my top priority for choosing college.

I talked with some students at UTPA and they told me that those who are not in the UTPA Baylor progrm are pretty much screwed since otherwise that college is not good.

Please help

Hmm I was wondering the same thing, I have a full ride + extra at UTD, but have to decide between that school and UT - Austin, which has given me nothing. ALso majoring in premedicine. Can someone help us out?

I don't know why I did not apply for UT Austin.... I thought it was'nt good or something.

Can I still apply or is it too late. What about the honors program etc deadlines?

It's too late for Austin, deadlines back in February.

UT Austin has a pretty good medical school acceptance rate. About 16/80 newly admitted students at Texas A&M College of Medicine are UT grads. I dont think UTPA-Baylor is any good nor is MSEMP or EMSAP. Texas Partnership for Primary Care gives an awesome deal though, guaranteed acceptance at med school without having to take the MCAT as long as you maintain a 3.25! Sweet!

What about UT Dallas?

i'm recent acceptee to the utpa-baylor program. i had also applied to the MSEMP program. though, one of my back-up plans if i didnt get into any of the programs for medical school was a program called JAMP. i also recieved the full scholarship from utpa, so i figured "hey, how can i pass up this opportunity" the JAMP prgram stands for Joint Admission MEdical Program, or something like that. i don't know too much about it, but its similar to the other programs, only you apply once already in college. if you are attending utpa for sure, and want to go into medicine, this is a program you should look into. as for the UTPA-Baylor program, you do need an MCAT, an average of only a 3.2, and you get 4 years of college paid for, and four years of medical school at baylor college of medicine paid for.... it's an awesome deal.
