How hard is it to exceed in this program if you're doing a major along the lines of pre-med? I've heard a wide variety of opinions, some saying it's really hard while others claim it's pretty easy. I was wondering if anyone could give a precise opinion and some first hand experiences. Also I read somewhere that only around 20 kids in the program got into med school. That number seems pretty low for a program that accepts about 180 kids. Is that because not many choose the medical career or that Plan II students have a low med school acceptance rate?

I am of the opinion that it isn't extremely hard. You will have to work for it, but I wouldn't say it is hard. I know many people that are plan II and premed or even engineering and have 4.0's. These people still have a life too.

20 kids out of 180 is a lot. Plan II represents majors from all over the university. Just take a look at the stats. See how many people are doubling in a non pre-med track like another liberal arts degree or business or even engineering. I would bet that anyone in Plan II that wanted to get into med school did.
