UTexas Dean's Scholars v. Princeton

If there is any chance he might go to ibanking then I'd pick Princeton, otherwise UT honors program is an excellent choice. I think Princeton gives a better overall education and probably experience.

Mini - Interesting thoughts. Actually, if you're creative, you can probably make those projects happen after Princeton, and have Princeton friends all across the world with whom to stay. :-)

Princeton has probably the best math program and liberal arts education for undergraduates in the country. Given your son's interests, what more can you ask for?!? Assuming Princeton is affordable, as far as I see it the choice is clear!

Definitely go to UTexas... honestly spend the $200,000 on grad school. You'll be at the top of your class at UTexas and it is a great school in and of itself

I feel better about the confusion at my house as the opinions seem to go both ways here as well. Two days left; I'm leaning Princeton. I finally told him that b/c I think he was worried about the $$. Agree with many of the above, will be a stretch to pay but education is where I'd rather my $$ went - and nope, he wouldn't get any extra money from me if he went to UT. I've always told him I'd provide the best education he could obtain.....the same gift my parents gave me.

Well, then he's obviously going to Princeton. Congratulations!

If he wouldn't get those extra educational opportunities from extra $$, then Princeton is likely to provide the better education.

$200,000 is a lot of friends' couchs! ;)

He chose Princeton.
Thank you for your input.
