Step D about to enroll there and they don't have their own forum. Anyone have knowledge of the dorm life there? Specifically, this kid is not a party girl and would like to avoid the craziness of solid noise. UTSA's admitted student's info about dorms (and what we saw on tour) suggests very nice options which is happy dance worthy, just hope for some insight from y'all!

From USNews:

Student Life

University of Texas–San Antonio has a total undergraduate enrollment of 26,268, with a gender distribution of 52.4 percent male students and 47.6 percent female students. At this school, 12.0 percent of the students live in college-owned, -operated, or -affiliated housing and 88.0 percent of students live off campus.

Dorms + 3,100 Young People - Parents = Kids having fun.

I don’t think any dorm at any college is solid noise and craziness. Mostly it’s working hard playing hard.

I could be wrong but I think a friend of mine mentioned something about nice honors dorms. They were trying to convince his son to join the combined med program starting next year.

A friend whose DD spent one year there said she lived off campus, but about the dorms she says:
"Dorms would probably be good its a dry campus so no partying happens there. Don’t live in Chisholm hall. Other dorms are nice though "

I know from some friends who went there that many people live off campus. Most students are from San Antonio Anyway

Good to know about Chisolm - will tell her that!

Hey, texaspg! This kid is not an honors student, sadly.
