I am a sophomore undergrad at JMU. I am in the Honors Program, have a double major in Justice Studies and Anthropology. I am on the women's rugby team, and I'm the community service chair for the team. I'm also in Phi Alpha Delta (Pre-Law Fraternity), Moot Court Team, and Judicial Council. Cumulative GPA of 3.75. I haven't taken the LSAT yet, i'll be doing that June 2014, but what are my chances at UVA so far? I'm trying to figure out what else I need to do to get in there when I apply. I also will be completing an Honors thesis in Justice Studies. I will be studying for the LSAT this summer and possibly taking a one month course May 2014 before I take the LSAT in June.

The GPA is decent, the rest doesn’t matter. Boost that GPA a bit before you graduate and get a decent LSAT and you have a good shot at UVA with some cash.

Graduating with Honors will have no bearing on it?

To the extent it informs your GPA law schools will care. Otherwise no, it makes no difference to them. It may help you along a bit later in the job search though.

drop some EC’s so you can earn more A’s. Law school is 95% two numbers: u-GPA and LSAT.

Get like a 170 on the LSAT and keep that GPA up and you should get in.
