Hello everyone! I recently posted about deciding between UVA, Richmond, or William and Mary, but got no responses :( So, I've decided to take W&M off of my list and ask for your opinions on UVA or UofR. I'm going to visit both of them this week, but I'd really appreciate getting some feedback on these schools. I'm interested in majoring in Biology or Biochemistry and going the pre-med route (although I know this can change once I'm at college). I like how small Richmond is, but I like the school pride and tradition at UVA. My main concern about UVA is how large it is, because I want to be more than a scantron to my professors. So, please give me some advice on which of these schools I should pick!

If you have specific sorts of bio and biochemistry interests, you’re probably going to be better suited going to a big place like UVA. Their bio department is going to be much bigger, which will mean that there will be a greater variety of class offerings. From what I hear about UVA, most of the professors are quite willing to help their students, but you’ll have to take the initiative to visit them during office hours (Whereas at a place like Richmond, pretty much everyone will be receiving some individual attention).
