I'm a female OOS who's trying to decide between the three. I'll be a bio/pre-med major. Academic reputation/med school acceptance rates holds the most importance. However, I'm also wanting a great social atmosphere (preferably with a solid Greek culture), and school spirit. I've attended a relatively small private prep school my whole life, so moving toward a large state school like UVA has me slightly intimidated, but I've vowed to be very open-minded when choosing between the three. UVA has the advantage of being the best value, and if I've calculated correctly, I'll start with 50 hours under my belt due to APs. (With 9 years of school ahead of me, this is a consideration.)

I would welcome any feedback you might provide that might help me reach the most difficult decision I've had to make thus far. I plan on visiting the campus for accepted student's day in a couple of weeks, but if you have any insight, I'd welcome it.

Try thinking of it like this: “Which school will be the most profitable choice for me?”
I don’t know what the honors situation is at BC (academic perks? $? other?), but since you mentioned that you have almost a decade of schooling ahead, why not choose the one that will make that easier on you? I don’t know about you, but as for myself-- high school seemed endless! Can you imagine being in school for more than twice that amount of time until you finally get out into the working field? It looks like at UVa you might be able to graduate in 2-3 years, so it seems important for you to consider your feelings toward the possibility of 9 more years of school. Are you okay with it or does that long of a time make you uneasy? You also said that UVa is the best value, which seems like it should be an important deciding factor considering future med school costs.

Best of luck to you with your choice.
Remember that each school is wonderful in its own respect.
